Happy Thanksgiving!

Beautiful Virginia

Vegetable garden at Monticello

Historic Downtown Staunton, Virginia

I've just returned from a trip to Virginia.  The countryside was beautiful and I envisioned it in pastel.  On a bright, crisp morning we visited Monticello, the home of Thomas Jefferson.  I was inspired by the beauty of the home's design, paintings, furnishings, artifacts, and gardens.  I've been creating needlepoint designs recently and was excited to see a couple of needlepoint items in the home.  We stayed in historic Staunton, Virginia.  It has a vibrant downtown district full of shops, great restaurants, and even a few galleries.  I returned home brimming with creative ideas and inspiration as well as being thankful for my loving family, health, and freedom.  I wish you a wonderful Thanksgiving filled with warmth.
